| Ladder Rules: Each match is played as a best-of-five games playing games to 9 points (win by two). Rules of play follow the international squash rules (one serve, etc).
If the higher rank wins, positions stay the same. If
the lower rank wins, the two players switch places on the
ladder. For example, if 3 beats 1, 3 becomes one and
1 becomes 3. Report games and dates as soon as possible. Since there are only wins and losses, if you run out of time and the game is tied, sudden death should be used to break a tie. Sudden death rules: spin the racquet to see who serves first. If the server wins the point, the opponent gets to serve. If
both servers win their points, the sudden death round is repeated,
alternating serving order, until one player makes the point
and the other doesn't (like baseball extra innings). Win-Loss Records are reset
on September 1st of each year.
Court Reservations: The
CCRB reservation desk for squash courts is available to make reservations the
next day from 5:30pm to 7:30pm by calling (93)60627. Reservations for the day of
can be made by calling (76)48167. Reserve the courts for an hour (or longer if you can).
THE BORIS CUP: The top
position of the ladder gets to display the famed "Boris
Cup" on his desk. In case a student holds the
Boris cup while expecting to graduate: you cannot graduate
until losing the top spot on the court.
